Giovanni Maddalena

Giovanni is keen to use synthetic biology to provide sustainable solutions. iGEM 2018 lead him to participate in competitions in an attempt to spin-out a new spider silk company - SETA. He believes good communication with the public is necessary to enable uptake of synbio in the world and participates in outreach and science writing.
